Voting

Every week HOKT holders vote Yes, No or Abstain on a short list of Polymarket markets. Ballots stay sealed until voting closes.

Weekly schedule

  • Monday 14:00 UTC: a new cycle opens with up to four liquid markets that resolve within six days.
  • Snapshot challenge, 6 hours: anyone can check the published voting-power snapshot and challenge it.
  • Voting, 36 hours: cast or change your ballot. Only your latest ballot counts.
  • Tally: ballots are decrypted and the result is posted, with a one-hour challenge window before it is final.

Sealed ballots

Ballots are encrypted to a future drand round that only exists after voting ends. Nobody, including the team, can read a vote early, so there is no way to see which way the vote is leaning and pile on.

Voting power

Your power is your average HOKT balance across seven daily samples ending when the cycle opens. Buying HOKT right before a vote barely moves it. Contracts such as pools and vaults are excluded. See HOKT.

When a market gets a bet

A market is decisive when one side wins at least 60% of the power cast on it and overall turnout reaches 5% of eligible power. Markets that miss either bar get no bet that week.
